New Photos have arrived for the new Fast And The Furious 4 film. I’m very excited about this because the whole gang from the original is BACK!

George Carlin dies at age 71. Any other celebrity i could care less about, but this marks a very sad day in my life. I’ve learned more from George Carlin than i have all through High School. This guy is one of my heroes and will NEVER be forgotten. This really sucks for America. No one left to tell the truth.

I wish i could have announced this before hand, but i actually didn’t find out about this early like i usually do. I haven’t been watching too much HBO lately. So you all know Dana Carvey (Garth from Wayne’s World) the stand up comedian and actor. Hes still kicking, and he is funny as hell.

Dana Carvey is mostly known for his amazing impressions of people and his unique comic take on satire. In Squatting Monkeys Tell No Lies, he does what we will call a classic act. With so much more in the year of 2008 to make fun of, the show just lights up the room. It was just too funny.

It premiered at 10:30 EST on HBO June 16th. I caught the 1:30 AM showing on HBO West. Click here for full details and a full list of showings of his 55 minute HBO Special. What did you think of this amazing HBO Special?

I was sitting on the couch watching Office Space when the words Broken Lizard popped into my head. So i went over to IMDB to see what Jay Chandrasekhar was up to. Jay Chandrasekhar is the lead director in the film group, Broken Lizard. Broken Lizard is a group of actors seen in Club Dread, Super Troopers, and Beerfest. You will know them when you see them.

When i got onto IMDB, the first thing i noticed was that Super Troopers 2 has been announced. I though to myself, i have to announce this on my blog. So far, there are no details because the film has only been announced for a 2010 release. We have a while to wait, but much time for anticipation. Everyone knows Super Troopers to have been a hilarious comedy, one of the best from Broken Lizard.

It will be directed by Jay Chandrasekhar like always, and starring, will be the whole team of Broken Lizard from the first Super Troopers film. Also, Kevin Heffernan from Broken Lizard will be the director (usually is the writer) on an upcoming Slammin Salmon film including all of Broken Lizard.

I recently received an invite from the staff of Orgoo, and so far I’ve found it quite amazing. Conclusion - This has been a small review of Orgoo. I’m just getting used to it, and there are many things coming for Orgoo in the near future that will make the service very hard to resist. Its hard already not to sign off of iChat and MSN Messenger just to use Orgoo with all of your accounts. I’m sure many will use this service, and if you need an invite, let me know! God this movie just looks awesome. In simple terms, its The Condemned, but instead of on foot fighting in a jungle, its in cars like Twisted Metal (The Video Game). I’ve mentioned Death Race before as well, so click here to check out what i said about it before. Wow this movie looks insane!

The newest release of Socialthing! Is now up and running. A bunch of new features added to make it much better and easier to use. Here is a list of new features, and here is my old review of Socialthing! 1.0. They have also updated their iPhone version.

Here is the movie trailer for an upcoming movie called ‘Mirrors.’ Apparently, when you look into the mirror, some freaky stuff happens and it makes you do bad things that you don’t want to do. Very simple, but looks very good. From the director of The Hills Have Eyes, High Tension, and the upcoming Piranha 3D!

Plurk and Ping.FM

In just one day, I’ve found two new services that i can see myself using a lot. They both take social service posting to another level. One is on its own, and one associates with your other services with a brand new style of categorizing your networks. Ping.FM and Plurk.

Plurk - A Time Line Based Social Network

Plurk is a social network exactly like Twitter. Its also completely different from it. It uses a time line to keep track of all your friends posts rather than using a linear, straight forward message by message view of all your friends posts. This is only beneficial, and it their setup works very good.

The first unique thing about them is this giant time line that is on the top of the screen. All of your friends posts or ‘Plurks’ are arranged from new to the left and old to the right. And it is of course a time line, so there is a small bar on the bottom of the line displaying a time frame at which each post was posted. Its very easy to comprehend knowing that all the new Plurks are to the left.

Like and unlike Facebook, (not sure if Facebook puts it there anymore) Plurk uses the ‘your name’ (is) doing something way of posting a status. It lets you select from many different (is’s) such as ‘thinks’ and ’shares.’ You can also set it to ‘freestyle’ to completely remove the (is). Each one has a different color as well for easily extinguishing them from each other when replying to a note. - Like Pownce and unlike Twitter, this network allows you to post an inline reply to your friends notes instead of using the @ symbol.

With Plurk, it is very easy to know which Plurks you haven’t seen yet, replies you haven’t seen yet, and friend requests you haven’t seen yet. On the top is your alerts. A number appears when you have new friend requests and such, and its very easily noticed. On the bottom is a button to view all the Plurks or replies that you haven’t seen yet. This is also very easy to notice.

Did i mention that Plurk is live and in real-time? Yeah. No refreshing the page, Plurks just appear when they come. Same with replies, and you are notified instantly with the simple easy-notice interface! This is what I’ve heard. I haven’t seen it in action quite yet, I’ve been messing around too much.

Ping.FM - A New Way To Post To Your Networks

This is a new way to post to your favorite status based sites, and micro-blogging/blogging sites such as Twitter, Facebook, Pownce, Tumblr, and Blogger. It has a huge list of different networks you can register with Ping.FM to post to. Its very promising.

What is so unique about Ping.FM is this. You have three different categories of websites in which you actually post to. Status websites, Micro-Blogging websites, and Blogging websites. With Ping.FM you can choose say, Twitter and Facebook to be in the Status websites category. You can put Pownce and Tumblr into your Micro-Blogging category. And you can put Blogger and Myspace into your blogging category. When you post to a category, the post goes out to each service that is registered to that category.

That have a great array of tools as well such as posting from IM, and Google Talk. There is a Facebook application, an iPhone version of the website, and a WAP Mobile version of the website. Overall i would say to give this a try until Socialthing 2.0 comes out.

Here is my conclusion of Plurk and Ping.FM. I love both of these sites. I can see using Plurk a lot more than using Ping.FM because I’m a huge fan of Socialthing and I’m awaiting there new releases. They are both great new ways of handling your social networking needs though. These two sites can be picked out of the bunch, they really can.

Update - I’ve been using Plurk so much! Its a really amazing service, and i think everyone should go there instead of Twitter. Add me on Plurk! Also, a bad first impression with Ping.FM. The day i want to come back to the house to use it, its down. Great!

What Happens In Vegas

Now the first thing i thought about What Happens In Vegas before watching it was that its just going to be another stupid blockbuster hit that everyone goes to see, and it will probably suck. Well I’m going to say that i was right and wrong in this situation. I loved this movie, but i was probably right about the typical blockbuster hit part. Almost like a chick flick, but with more comedy than i thought.

The Acting

Ashton Kutcher, is usually overrated but yet he still comes through with his humor. He wasn’t alone when it came to giving the funniest moments of the film though. By his side most of the time was his lawyer in the film played by Rob Corddry. I don’t know much about this actor, but i have seen him playing small roles in many films and TV shows. This was the first movie I’ve seen him in where he actually played in one of the top roles of the film. He usually doesn’t get too much screen time. Corddry’s performance humor wise, was just incredible. Teaming up with Kutcher for a largely anticipated mainstream summer movie was a pretty good idea on someones part. Kudos to them for bringing him in.

Another surprise in this film was that Cameron Diaz was in it. She clearly is a huge actress, but she hasn’t shown her face in a mainstream film in ages from my knowledge. She played her part well, but was her very corny self for most of the movie. She played the drama better than she did the comedy. I must say some of her comedy was actually good when backed up by Kutcher, but on her own she didn’t seem too funny. I still enjoyed seeing her in this film.

The Movie

The movie was just plain out funny. Of course like every comedy movie these days, it had its touches of drama, but the comedy drained all the drama out. Kutcher was just hilarious in this film. Backed up by Corddry, this film is a must see for the funny. Everyone is going to see it eventually anyway, seeing as its very mainstream, with a huge budget and very appealing to teens and such. Going to Vegas to party and them getting married almost on accident is appealing to most audiences, everywhere.

Overall, a good movie, i recommend watching it for the comedy. It wasn’t Superbad funny, but it had its moments! So go check it out whether you like it or not, and check it out.

So if you haven’t heard of Rapidweaver, you have been missing out on a lot! If you have a Mac and want make an amazing website without learning HTML, CSS, or JavaScript, this is the tool for you. If you have used iWeb which shipped on all Macs for free as of awhile ago, you will notice how much Raidweaver blows it away. iWeb seems useless compared to the power of this tool.

Of course there will be a few core preferences in the menu bar menu, but everything you need, is right in the toolbar and the sidebar where your pages are viewed!

This week in movies is always fun for me when there is a lot of good movie news in the air. I love giving my thoughts on this stuff, its the most exciting. These week is especially exciting because i have some great news about some of the things that I’m really really looking forward to. Here we go.

Red Band Trailer For ‘Step Brothers’

Very simple. Will Ferrel and John Reilly in the same movie again. You know its going to be funny as hell. The trailer will seriously have you on the floor laughing. Just imagine how good the movie is going to be. All the movies with Will Farrel give off insane fantastic comedy. Not so much John Reilly. He is slightly an underdog in comedy these days with movies like ‘The Dewey Cox Story.’ That movie wasn’t much of anything, but it had its amazing moments. But i think that with Will Ferrel working with him, it will just be hysterical.

‘Step Brothers‘ is about a couple that gets married and each of them has a son. They are pretty much forced to get along with everything they do, and they clearly do it funny as hell. Will Ferrel plays the same old soft witted, insane, and hilarious character. You will love this trailer. The swearing and dialog are incredible.

Cocaine Cowboys Pilot Script Review + CC2 News

It seems that a pilot script for the hopefully upcoming HBO Drama series based on the documentary ‘Cocaine Cowboys’ has been developed. Hunter Stephenson, a writer for /Film, reviews the script.

‘Cowboys‘ opening scenes–a hasty drug deal at sea set aboard a 150-foot vessel that’s quietly sinking under the careless supervision of incredibly stoned, hard partying Rasta thugs–conjures the same crotch-grabbing gusto and hyper-imagery on display in Mr. Bay’s Bad Boys II.’

In other news, the official trailer for the sequel to the documentary has been released by Rakontur. Rakontur is the studio led by Billy Corben. (The creator of Cocaine Cowboys.)

Hancock TV Spot Released

Hancock, the story about a alcoholic super hero played by Will Smith. This movie looks seriously funny, and the trailer will crack you up. I’ve never seen Will Smith crack me up this much. Sure he has his comedic roles, but he has been doing serious acting for a long time now, and now its time to go back to his comedy side, and boy this looks good.

Something interesting about this that isn’t so cool is this. I heard from the guys at First Showing, that the original story of Hancock was to be rated R, and it was not for the faint of heart. Hancock was originally more of an asshole than a PG-13 rating could handle. Which is a let down if they release it as a PG-13 movie, and do a million cut downs.

First Look - Death Race

Ok, this came out of the blue. I haven’t heard of this until just today and i think it looks just insane. Twisted Metal movie pretty much it looks like. That and something like battle bots by the way these crazy things are designed. I guess its a remake of a 70’s B-movie. Well there you go, that is a good reason why i havent even heard of this remake. I hate B-movies. The screenplay is written by the guy that brought you Resident Evil, and even Blankman. I remember Blankman! Who doesn’t?

The remake stars Jason Statham of Crank, and all those huge action movies. Which means, its going to be a huge action movie. The looks of it so far, its going to be pretty sick. Anything that looks like Twisted Metal the video game, should be some great eye candy. I truly know nothing about this sequel but apparantly it looks sick, view the details below in the link.

What do you think about this week in movies?

I’ve been messing around with Fluid App a lot lately, and I’ve found one way to use it to its greatest capabilities. To create perfect little apps for sites that have an iPhone version. I first got this idea from the video of Socialthing plus Fluid App.

Fluid App is what we call ‘Site Specific Browsers.’ What the application does is it takes a single website, and turns it into a standalone application you can run on your desktop. Any website can be used with Fluid App. Go to their website with the link above and see the full details. Its amazing.

The first site i tried it with was Facebook. They have an iPhone version of their website that makes their regular website look like crap. The iPhone version looks amazing, and the normal version should look like this in the first place. To the right is a screen shot, click to enlarge. You can instantly tell that the new Fluid App skin called HUD looks amazing with any site, and this is a perfect example.

The next site i tried out was Pownce Mobile. They have a very simple iPhone website that has all the relevant features just like Facebook does. Everything about the mobile version of Pownce seems better than the regular site.

There is no JavaScript functionality (or whatever Pownce uses) so you don’t get the cool effect when posting a comment or anything, but its still awesome. Its everything you need, simpler than the normal version of the site. And once again it looks great with the Fluid App’s HUD interface.

The last one I’ve done so far is the Digg iPhone site. This is one of my favorites. Its very simple. I mean a ton more simple than Facebook and Pownce.

A header, a list of stories and a link to get to the next page of stories. When you login on the Digg mobile site it doesn’t bring you to another page, either. It keeps you right where you are the whole time while you Digg your stories.

That’s it for the sites that i have tried so far. (Their mobile versions with Fluid App) I wanted to try Socialthing! but the site wouldn’t work for me with Fluid App for some reason. I’m going to try and get it to work, but you can find a video of that here.

Update - I finally got Socialthing Mobile to work with Fluid app. What i was doing wrong was that i didn’t know you had to log in first before you could actually access the mobile version of Socialthing. But i got it to work and here are some details.

The interface is more than incredible for Socialthing Mobile. The incredible styled toolbar on the top just glows on the interface. Everything is well placed, and it the mobile version actually illustrated features that are coming soon! Such as, a profile for your username just like Friendfeed has, and also settings changing in the mobile version. Also, posting more than just status messages!

The next service i tried after Socialthing! was Brightkite. I had forgotten all about that site because i can’t really use it yet seeing as I’m on Verizon right now.

Brightkite clearly has the best interface of all I’ve seen so far. Amazing buttons with perfect gradients, a beautiful glowing toolbar just like Socialthing, your current status message on the top, and its easy as pie to use. Very simple and elegant interface. That’s what I’m seeing in most of these new startups going with a mobile version of their website.

Update 2 - I took it a step further, and loaded up an iPhone version of Weatherbug. So when i want to, i can load it up and get the temperature outside in huge numbers.

Their service isn’t great compared to The Weather Channel, becuase you can get 10 hour forecasts that way. It will do when i just want a cool little application to check the temperature though! The interface isn’t too great for this application, but i can’t seem to find a good weather application for the iPhone that actually does. If anyone knows any good web apps than let me know!

Update 3 - I have found an amazing post, from a commenter on this post. This post illustrates how to use Twitter directly from the menu bar (On Mac) with Hahlo, and Fluid App! This is quite amazing, and it brings the menu bar function of Fluid App to life! Click here! Just remember you can do this with any application!

What do you think about using iPhone versions on the desktop?

Well you would never guess what i am typing from right now. The new up to date AOL Desktop for Mac. I never thought they would make another Mac client, but they have. And this one seriously is everything it was back in the day, and just as exciting to me. There are so many new features that i cant even go over all of them if i tried. I will outline some of them though. P.S. - Thank you TUAW!

The Amazing Features!

Overall Interface - The first thing, the original Mac only interface is still here. The toolbar on the top that you can move around. The background is the desktop just like with Photoshop compared to the Windows OS. That was always my favorite thing about the Mac. AOL being like that was actually the main reason i wanted to switch to a Mac the first time i got to use one.

AIM - You will notice at start that you can now sign on with your AIM screen name. Before, AIM and AOL used to be different screen names due to the different password requirements, they wouldn’t let you sign on to AOL with an AIM account, but not vice versa. The AIM buddy list comes up right on the right side when you sign in, and its different from iChat, AIM For Windows, AIM for Mac, and everything else. Its a brand new instant messenger. You can search your buddy list, search even your friends AIM profiles! There are new mobile icons, new idle icons, new everything! By default, showing offline buddies inline is enabled and makes a mess of your buddy list. But go up to AIM in the menu bar to fix that.

The Legit Toolbar - You remember the original AOL toolbar that was so easy to use and everyone used it proudly? Well its back, and its redesigned. It looks perfect. Icons on the left outline three simple things you can do with your time within the AOL Desktop. Mail, IM, and Web. So simple, Mail brings up in a second the inline mail application that is also just as simple as it used to be! IM brings up your buddy list, and Web brings up the inline web browser that works incredibly and i will speak of that later. To the right of those simple icons are Welcome, News, Finance, Chat, Music, Television, Movies, People, Living, Sports, and Mapquest? Then there is Feedback, and Sign Out with a Search field for the web next to it.

Toolbar Update - The toolbar is completely customizable! Check it out here!

The Amazing Browser - When i popped up WordPress to write this post, i noticed it was fast as hell. So i tried a few more webpages, and wow is this thing fast. I want to see the benchmarks compared to Safari and Firefox when they appear. It goes with the Leopard interface and has perfectly designed buttons to throw on you. It now has tabs as well. (Yes, tabs. Its amazing i know. AOL has been away for so long!)

Browser Update - You don’t need to sign in to browse the web! Also, there is now a bookmarks bar just like Firefox and Safari.

Extras - Here i will just randomly throw out some small features that are actually awesome to some of us old AOL users! You will notice Chat is back! For awhile chat didn’t work, and then they removed it from the Windows and Mac versions of AOL. Its back, with a brand new AOL Chat Rooms online page that I’m going to dwell into the second this post is over to bring back old memories. You can now go up to AIM in the menu bar and search buddy profiles! Through all of the profiles, you can search for anything. There’s a really new feature. There you have it.

What I Think About All Of This Madness!

To me, this is all just madness. Bringing back so many old memories using the AOL Desktop client. I was insanely excited to write this post because I’m a huge fan of AOL. It feels good to see AOL back in style, integrating AIM these days. AIM used to be above AOL to the point where people didn’t even know what it stood for anymore. They just did instant messaging.

AOL has really brought the thunder here people. An amazingly easy to use client that will bring back more than memories when your using it. All beefed up and freshened up for the Web 2.0 era. I look forward to hearing about what everyone think of the new AOL Desktop 1.0 For Mac!

Oh, almost forgot. I wanted to just mention that we have all been waiting impatiently for about 5 years? To receive a new AIM client from AOL on the Macintosh. I know.. I know. Poor Mac users. We know that you Windows people get to have the shiny AIM client all the time but now we have this! And check this out, and you will envy out AOL client!

Overall Update (Cons)

Getting Booted - Ok, so after using it a lot I’ve clearly noticed some first big release bugs. The first thing that doesn’t tickle my fancy so much is the fact that it loves to sign you off one time after another. it doesn’t happen constantly, but when it does it tends to do it back to back a few times. Its been years since I’ve gotten “booted” off the net! Since the dial-up days actually.

AIM Functionality - Now overall the AIM client built into this desktop client is awesome. Although, AOL cannot seem to produce a client for the Mac that is identical to the Windows version. The Windows version of all AIM clients specifically have been so much more full featured than the Mac versions. Why do you do this to us? All the others seem to produce their apps so perfectly the same on Mac as Windows! Why can’t you do this for us like everyone else AOL? When you look at the buddy list you don’t even have a clue who’s online and who is away. You can’t notice who just signed on, or off without noticing a buddy appearing or just disappearing. Another thing, is the AIM expressions. You can’t seem to get rid of them even if you select NO EXPRESSION, or ‘Reset’. The AIM functionality lacks very much.

Conclusion (Cons) - I didn’t expect there to be too many flaws in this release seeing as there were fifteen betas before the release of 1.0. They should have taken into consideration how much potential they had with releasing a new Mac application. Did they not notice that they haven’t released a Mac application in years? I sure have. I’ve been waiting for an AIM client that lives up to the Windows version for years. iChat doesn’t cut it, and either does Adium. They have their perks, but they don’t cut it.

I think this will be the third time I’ve said that Twitter has worked its magic and somehow got me an invite to a new beta. Its always that way. But this one, I’m extra excited about. Here i will give you the usual ups and downs of a startup including why its the perfect social.. thing!

Lets start by looking at the big picture. Socialthing is a new beta startup used for keeping all of your social networking accounts in one easy and accessible place. Let me tell you, it does this very well. Its probably one of the cleanest and easy to use sites I’ve been on in awhile. Lets start looking into it.

How It Works!

When you log in to Socialthing you will see three tabs on the right and a lifestream button on the left. When you go into the settings tab, you can choose your lifestream settings including wether or not to show your own updates. It will show you all of the accounts you are able to register for Socialthing. So far there is Facebook, Twitter, Vimeo, Flickr, Pownce, and LiveJournal. These are the services you can register with Socialthing so far. There are more coming though which brings me to the next tab.

When you click the vote tab, you will have a giant list of social networking websites that Socialthing wants your feedback on. (Wether or not to add it to their list of services.) There are tons of services on the list, and tons of votes for them. There is another box to the right showing you the networks they are currently focused on adding to their list. Those networks are Del.Icio.Us, Digg, Last.FM, Myspace, and YouTube.

The last tab on the right is the post tab. This is where you can go to post to all of your accounts. You can post to them all at the same time or you can select them individually. You could select to only post to Twitter, Facebook, and LiveJournal. You could leave out Pownce if you wanted to. (Not that I’m hating on Pownce at all.)

Then to the left, you have your lifestream tab. This is where all your friend’s (If you choose) updates will be shown, including yours. (If you choose) You can go to the settings tab to pick how you want the updates to be displayed as well, so you have full customization. There is also a little refresh button on the lifestream tab to refresh your updates list.

What I Think About Socialthing!

Well, overall i think its an amazing service. The perfect social.. thing! in fact. When it opens from beta, i guarantee it will put Friendfeed in the deadpool. There is only two things Socialthing really has over Friendfeed that kills it. The beautiful interface, and the updates from friends already on all of your network accounts. Here is what i mean. On Friendfeed you subscribe to a person and their updates. On Socialthing you log in to your network accounts and already have all of your subscribed friends in your lifestream. Its that simple, and Friendfeed should be ashamed!

To conclude this amazing service’s review, i would just like to say that Socialthing is going to be absolutely HUGE when all the services get added. Everyone will use it, and the need to go directly to any website to post will be completely unnecessary. This really is a big thing for the internet, and I’m sure everyone will realize this when it comes out of beta. This site has incredible potential to be the biggest thing on the internet, we just have to give it time to grow! Hurry it up Socialthing!

Update - So I’ve been using Socialthing a lot now, and the one thing that seems to not go my way most of the time is loading Pownce! I get this error all the time. Anyone else? Also, it allows me to post to Pownce with much ease, but still won’t load them in the lifestream. Update 2 - Now that i think of it, its still in beta so there is some things to be resolved. Oh Vimeo and Flickr tend to not work as well. Update 3 - It seems most of the services are now working!

Update 5 - After posting about Socialthing!’s mobile site in this post, a comment from one of those behind the project gives some amazing words! There are new things to come! Very very soon from Socialthing mobile. Some great news here!

Today, May 12 i woke up with a bunch of great news in my face that i just had to throw at everyone all at once. I’m not creating a million posts today. So here is a ‘Links‘ post for todays news.

HBO TV Series Coming To iTunes?

Today i woke up and checked my RSS feeds to find that Mashable posts about HBO coming to iTunes. Hell, that is enough of a headline for me already. Last week i posted about Cocaine Cowboys becoming an HBO series, and how great it would be to see that on iTunes (If that really happens, i just think it will be really good).

When it comes to watching TV, all i watch is HBO. Its got the movies, and its got some great series. HBO is home for shows like In Treatment, The Wire, Oz, John Adams, and many other great shows. This story is about the shows, not the movies. HBO doesn’t really have anything to give when it comes to feature films. iTunes has its connections for films already, but HBO has great some great shows.

Mashable also says that there will be some sort of flexible pricing plan for HBO shows that could change Apples overall pricing plan on TV shows.

Blackberry ‘Bold’ 9000 Gets Official On AT&T First.

RIM (Research In Motion), the creator of the Blackberry has confirmed the release (not the release date) of the Blackberry 9000 ‘Bold’ and boy is this thing sick. The first carrier it will be on in the US will of course be AT&T which is perfect for me because i plan to switch early next month.

This product is really no joke. After i checked out all the other Blackberry’s and even Palm’s selection of smart phones, nothing came close to this thing. The interface just looks incredible and the body is glossy, and the keys even have curves on them for easier typing.

Update - Mashable reports that Microsoft partnered with RIM to integrate Windows Live into the Blackberry. I’m not sure if that is relevant for the 9000’s sake, but something great for RIM’s Blackberry in general. We will see until summertime when Windows Live begins getting incorporated with Blackberry’s.

Steve Jobs WWDC Keynote June 9th!

MacRumors reports that WWDC 08’s keynote will be given by Steve Jobs like usual, on June 9th. This is great news because WWDC I’m sure will roll out huge goodies. If the new iPhone doesn’t hit before then, it will almost definitely hit at WWDC.

Whenever Steve Jobs gives a keynote, something comes out. End of story. Something awesome, or sometimes very lame. But even if it stinks, you will somehow learn to love it. So now await all of the WWDC rumors in the next few weeks. There will be many of them like always!

The X-Files “I Want To Believe” Movie Trailer!

This is the news of the day for me people! I’ve been awaiting more on this new X-Files movie ever since i heard about it here. The release date for this new movie is July 25th of this year! I’ve had it in my calendar for months and months now, awaiting some more news.

Now the trailer isn’t too spectacular, but once i heard the epic original X-Files theme music, i knew they meant business. This movie is going to kick ass just like the series and just like the first movie! (Which is now available on iTunes for those weirdos that haven’t seen it) What i love what they weren’t afraid to do at all, was bring back the original cast. I bet if the actors wouldn’t come back for a sequel, the sequel wouldn’t have happened at all, but it is now a reality and its official.

Uwe Boll To Direct Grand Theft Auto Movie?

Ok, this i had to add to my list of May 12 news. Boll says that he could make this a better movie with an R rating and $30 million dollars than Michael Bay could with $150 million dollars and a PG-13 rating. Now i have to say if you don’t disagree and agree than you are crazy.

Ok Uwe Boll makes horrible movies. Michael Bay makes good ones, BUT this is not a movie for Michael Bay. No way could he slap a PG-13 on a movie based on Grand Theft Auto the video game. No way in hell could he ever pull it off correctly. GTA has the potential for an R rating. Without it, it would be a piece of crap. I don’t think you could mess something up that bad, ever.

So as an open statement, i think neither of them should do it. I don’t want to see a bad movie, and i sure as hell don’t want to see a movie like this with a wimp PG-13. Am i right or am i right?

Incredible news for a Monday correct?

So far this week, their has been an array of great news about the film world. I’m going to shed my opinion on a few stories i have heard, and things that i have seen in movies this week so far. There are some bad, and some very cool things on their way from the film industry.

The Cast Of G.I. Joe

The cast of the upcoming G.I. Joe film has been announced. I’m not too fond of all the actors that are in the cast that was released, so I’m only going to talk about the ones that i do know, and what i think about them being in the film. Here are some thoughts.

For one, Dennis Quaid. I think Quaid being a part of this film is an awesome thing. Hes good in every movie he plays, so you already just know there wont be a problem with his acting at all. Hes very good at what he does, and there is not much to say about that. Hes playing a general in the movie, and its easy to see Quaid being great at that. Hes good at being a high figure.

The next is Channing Tatum. Now I’ve only seen him in a few films, but to me he doesn’t seem like the big actor a lot of people put him out to be. His role in Supercross back in 2005 i thought was one of the corniest performances that I’ve ever seen. I’m not sure if he was huge back then though. Hes still not a huge actor, but hes up there. Hes just got the look i guess. I can guarantee hes going to be that snobby tough guy in the film. In the film his name is Duke. I mean come on?

Last but not least, Marlon Wayans. He plays a ranked sergeant in the film named Ripcord. Ripcord? I don’t think I’ve ever heard that name in my life. Probably a nickname but let it slide. I’m hoping they don’t fail at bringing him into the film with a comedic touch. I don’t think i would like a performance from any of the Wayans brothers if they weren’t in it to be comedians. I could see a movie like G.I. Joe being humorless. But if they can pull it off, power to em. But i don’t think they can.

Noise With Tim Robbins

Noise is about a man who just plainly, hates car alarms. The main character is played by Tim Robbins from The Shawshank Redemption. Robbins is an amazing actor to this day even. If you have seen The Shawshank Redemption, you would know. He has won Academy Awards for his work as an actor. Anyway, his character hates car alarms, and it drives him crazy throughout the movie, and he ends up creating a name for himself as a criminal smashing every car that lets off an alarm.

The trailer for the movie is out and I’m sure many will be very pleased with how good this movie really looks. It looks hilarious for a movie with Tim Robbins as the main character. He has done some somewhat funny films, but hes mainly a serious guy. I’m very pleased with how good this movie looks, and i think many others will be too. Be sure to check out the trailer!

Marvel Announces Next Four Films

Ok i have but only one good thing to say about this. The one good thing about what Marvel has announced is that there will be an Iron Man sequel. I have yet to see the first one, but i know its going to be good. I enjoy movies that are hyped like this one. I went and saw Cloverfield because of the hype, not even the movie itself. Now right into the bad and annoying stuff!

Marvel announced Thor, Captain America, and The Avengers! I’m not fans of any of those comical pieces of crap. I’m just not a comic kind of guy. Some cool comic-to-movie films will come out and i will enjoy them, but not for the most part. That is not even the general reason i don’t care for this news whatsoever. The reason is this, why do they have to make so damn many of them? Until they make one that is actually worth watching? I mean a few were awesome, don’t get me wrong, but for the most part they just aren’t as awesome as they think.

Anchorman 2 Is Confirmed

I guess back in February, there was a rumor that Will Ferrel wanted to bring back the hilarious character of Ron Burgundy. That was good news in itself because Ron Burgundy really was no joke. Anchorman was such a good movie, and it was on HBO every night for me to watch every night.

So now it has been confirmed that Ron Burgundy and the news team will return for a sequel! I’m very excited to see the news team back in action again. This is just one of those sequels that you couldn’t miss for the world. This is one of my favorite characters Will Ferrel has ever played, from what i have seen so far.

So what do you think of this weeks movie news so far?

So i sent a request for an invite to Twitterfone, and mentioned it on Twitter. One of my buddies pointed out that Jott had the same functionality. I signed up and wow does it work good. I hate to see great services like Jott slip under my awesome website radar. Here is what Jott can do!

I signed up over the phone. I called the number so they could text my phone with a password i could use to login on the website. I went to Jott and entered the password, along with my cell phone number. It matched up, so they let me in and i could start Jotting. It was very easy to signed up, and i thought it was awesome how i didn’t have to be on the computer to do it.

With Jott, you can ‘Jott stuff down.’ You can create a ‘Jott’ in many different ways. You can use it to send an email to yourself, send text message reminders to yourself, create a to-do list, Jott to someone else or a group of contacts, and the best one - Jott to a link! Let me explain that more.

Jotting to a link means that you can use your cell phone to call in to Jott, and have it translate from voice to text to many different web services. You can Jott to your WordPress account, Twitter, Blogger, and you can create your own link to Jott to. Its incredible how you can voice blog right from your cell phone. Now i think Qik has that functionality, and i know Twitterfone has the Twitter functionality. So this is a combination of both, therefor its still awesome. Qik does have some ups, but thats another story.

Update - I meant Utterz. Maybe Qik does have that functionality then. Utterz has a lot of the same features that Jott has after looking at it. Utterz seems like an awesome service, and I’ve seen it put to good use many times from 1938media. Look to the next update for my experience with Utterz.

Update 2 - So i joined Utterz to see if i would prefer it over Jott, and i really do like the service, but they give you 10 minutes before they post it just in case you want to add video or pictures. Since i don’t post any pictures or videos, posting it right away would be more my thing. Unfortunately i can’t have that as an option. I’m going with Jott for sure when i want to post audio, and reminders.

Update 3 - I’m not going to compare Jott with Twitterfone because i don’t have an invite, but it seems that Twitterfone does the same exact thing as Jott. But what i have noticed on Twitter, is that Jott most of the time gets the speech-to-text correct, and with Twitterfone users i see a question mark all the time because it couldn’t recognize anything they were saying. So if you were to pick between the two, pick Jott because it works better and has a bunch more features then just Twitter.

I tested out the Jotting to Twitter so far because thats the reason i joined. I was looking for a site that could call into Twitter and translate to text, and post to my account. Now this feature is handled better than i thought. When you call in and Jott to Twitter, included in the Tweet is a link. In that link holds the text of your Jott, and a small audio icon. Jott records your Tweet audio. You can click on the icon and play the audio recorded via phone. I thought that was awesome. People get to hear your voice.

Jott is also very organized. Its very good at organizing your Jotts as well. On the front page when your logged in, their is a list of all your Jotts. What i thought was worth talking about on this subject was that you can set the priority of your reminders, cross them out if you don’t need to be reminded anymore, and you can set alerts for each Jott. You are able to schedule another reminder for each Jott that you create.

You can Jott from your phone, or just Jott on the web. So you can set reminders without having to use the phone, or you can set reminders without having to be on the computer. Either way, its a fantastic service, and i recommend that everyone use it. Thanks to buddies on Twitter, i was able to find this great tool that i will probably use all the time. Having a formal way of setting reminders for myself besides just writing stuff down in text-edit i think, is pretty damn cool.

Do you prefer Utterz or Jott if you have tried them both?

While i was writing my last post, i had to look up Michael Bay on IMDB, and while on his page i realized an amazing group of words on the top of his page. The words read “Nightmare On Elm Street 2010.” Michael bay will be producing it. He is also producing the new Friday The 13th Remake (see this post).

Wes Craven of course, will be writing the 2010 film. The movie is in pre-production, so there isn’t too many details about it, but we know its confirmed and coming. To keep up with this movie visit the IMDB page to find out full details as they arise on the internet. And most likely, we will see the infamous Robert Englund (of course) playing Freddy Krueger in this film.

Its IMDB page reads, “A re-imagining of the horror icon Freddy Krueger, a serial-killer who wields a glove with four blades embedded in the fingers and kills people in their dreams, resulting in their real death in reality.” So the same as the Friday The 13th remake, but a different classic!

Update - For the new Friday The 13th movie coming out, they said it will have an R-Rating and all the blood and guts it will take to honor the original. So far, there hasn’t been any word on how it will go with this new Nightmare On Elm Street film. In order to honor the original in this case, they would have to do some crazy things. Freddy vs. Jason, was not that crazy. Once they bring back how they used to make it back in the day with insane blood and gore, then.. they will have honored the original.
