Ace Ventura 3 Is In Post Production!

As i was browsing IMDB for The Sandlot which i just watched, i searched for the director (David M. Evans) – i found out that he is directing Ace Ventura 3! The movie is in post production and it is to be released sometime this year.

UPDATE – This third installment of the Ace Ventura series will clearly lack the comedy it did before. It probably wont even be funny. It will be equivalent to the sequel of The Mask. “Son Of The Mask.” It was fairly funny, but not the same kind of comedy. Instead of putting you on the ground laughing, its going to be a child’s humor type movie. That comes out very clear. The director of this film is turning the series into a kids movie. Thats what he is successful with.

This surprised me a lot. Josh Flitter will be playing Ace Ventura’s son whom follows in his fathers footsteps after his mother is wrongly arrested for stealing a baby panda.

Its most likely not going to be even close to as funny as the first 2. It doesn’t get better than Jim Carrey. He made those movies what they are today. I haven’t heard anything or seen anything of these movies in so long, but when reminded, i instantly remember LOVING these movies. So we won’t get any amazing Jim Carrey action, but we should get something many will watch to remember the hilarious originals!

Also, Jim Carrey will be playing the role of Robert Ripley in the upcoming “Ripley’s Believe It Or Not” movie coming in 2009. There’s something to look forward to. “Believe It or Not picks up with Ripley at the time when he gained celebrity status through a “Believe it or Not” column that chronicled his search for the greatest oddities in the world. Along the way, he starts to respect his unusual human discoveries as more than mere conquests to be documented.”
